Leonard
Kiswangi from Kinshasa is currently in the African Enterprise DRC office. He
has been involved in the reconciliation and peace making ministry apart from
being communication officer and member of the Congo team leadership for AE DRC.
In August 2007 he was appointed as the AE DRC National Team leader.
Leonard has a Mennonite background but has served for several years in the Protestant
University chaplaincy as youth ministry leader, marital counselor, leader for
bible study groups, church speaker, and radio and television program broadcaster.
He
has a degree in English language. Both his education and his practical training
in Information Technology as well as his acquired experience have enabled him
to work as simultaneous bilingual interpreter and translator both for public
addresses and communication facilitations. Leonard has been involved in the
youth training and outreach with African Enterprise in Port Elizabeth and in
the Kinshasa Pan African Missions. He has also participated in setting up AE
missions in Antananarivo, Madagascar, and Soweto, South Africa. He has organized
reconciliation workshops in Southern and Northern Kivu, in Mbuji May and Kikwit
in the DRC. He also participated in the international consultations on Church
Discipleship Making in Malaysia. He took the training on Fund raising as well
as many other seminars on trauma healing and reconciliation.
He is married
to Antho and they have three children.
